Also included are the files of a state institutions tuberculosis survey done by the State Board of Control (1934-1937), a WPA survey to gather and analyze data on discharged sanatoria patients (1935-1938), and reports of tuberculosis cases collected by the epidemiologist after the office's move to the Health Board's Division of Preventable Diseases (1938-1943). Materials relating to the duties of the epidemiologist include correspondence with health care officials in the 46 counties (1931-1937); reports and Mantoux testing data from tuberculosis surveys and epidemiological investigations (1931-1935), general correspondence (1931-1939), requests for tuberculin (1933-1938), files of the tuberculosis control program (1935-1939), and miscellaneous files covering such topics as tuberculous meningitis deaths and correspondence with institutions and local sanatoria.
